One of the qualities that makes Rodan + Fields so special is its potential to improve not just your business but other areas of your life. Whether you’re an R+F newbie or a long-term leader, the key is finding the motivation to work through the challenges so you can celebrate your successes. Read below about what motivated these five Leaders to meet their goals as they pursued their R+F business dreams.
Taryn Monti explains how a strong support system is not only a fantastic foundation to build your R+F business upon, but can also be a great motivation to keep pushing toward success.
“One of the most crucial strategies I share with other Independent Consultants is the importance of having a support group. It’s so important to have people in your life that love you and are going to support you no matter what. My husband wasn’t fully on board with my choice to become a business owner in the beginning, and it was really hard. Thankfully I had friends, teammates, and family members supporting me. My mom was the most inspiring: from the very beginning, she believed in me and my choice to become an entrepreneur. I know I am where I am because those women, my power partners, my directs, and my Uplines helped and supported me while I worked hard.”

Sometimes it’s hard not to get lost in the small day-to-day challenges, but Stephanie Leduc explains how having a big picture perspective and expecting ups and downs is vital.
“Know that there are going to be ups and downs. There are so many great moments in this business, but there are also tough moments. I have those struggles too, and when I read the Redefine Your Future blog and I listen to the daily Xperience, I feel like I can relate. That keeps me going whenever I take a hard look at my business. I want other Independent Consultants to know that no matter what you’re going through, you can connect with our community and know that you’re not alone. Someone else has been there and has overcome it. I think that’s one thing that has really helped me in my business so I try to share that with my team as much as possible.”

Travel can be one of the most motivating things in the world, something bright and fun to look forward to during the most difficult days. Karen Drinkard stays motivated by focusing on the many travel opportunities within her own team as well as the incredible trips R+F offers through various programs.
“I’ve been on a number of incentive trips so far with R+F and while I don’t have any specific stories to share, the feels are there with every single trip I’ve ever been on. It’s just an incredible time to be around other like-minded people and foster self-esteem. We’re building a team culture of giving and serving others, goal setting, and dreaming together. You get a sense of real achievement and feel proud that you’ve earned the ability to be there, elbow to elbow with people that form your own personal fan club. I want to spend my time around people that are empowering, positive, and inspired—so I always encourage my team members to participate in these trips. You want some of that in your life! By the time you get back home, you’ll be inspired to do more of what it took to get you there!”

RFX Circle Leader, Katie Wood says almost nothing is more motivating than being in a great mood. Being your own boss can also be a bit of a wild ride at times, so it’s important to keep a positive mindset when dealing with the ups-and-downs of other people’s reactions to your business.
“It has been a roller coaster. It’s been hard, it’s been great. It’s been tough, but it’s been rewarding. And I’m so grateful for that. I’m thankful to celebrate the highs, and I’m also grateful for the lows, because there’s always a lesson to be learned that will make us grow. Things happen that are out of our control, but we’re always in control of how we respond. And I have learned to really try to make the best out of every situation. I do always try. I’ve gained this awareness that when you are in one of those downs there is a lesson there. And I really credit R+F for that mentality”.

The last motivator on our list is simply knowing that you shouldn’t be afraid to ask others for help. Melanie Wright explains that success ebbs and flows so it’s important to know that you can and should ask for help.
“For someone whose business has gone stagnant, one other bit of advice I would give is to find an accountability partner who is in the same position as you. I found mine when I reached out to a leader I really respect, (but had never met), told her where I was at, and asked if she had anyone in the same situation. She was so supportive.”
“The best part of R+F is the people you meet.” Melanie and her team at their retreat in Wimberly, TX.
One of these five motivations may be what ultimately boosts your Rodan + Fields business to the success you’re seeking. As an R+F Independent Consultant, you have the freedom to control how hard you work and where you’re headed—so take stock, find your effective motivator and keep working to achieve your dreams.

I just recently joined and being able to get on here and read all these inspiring stories is wonderful. I hope I get the chance to leave one as well.
As a new consultant this was super helpful. To know that others feel like I do is wonderful. You know you’re not alone. I have found that support & encouragement with my R+F team & sponsor. Even when others doubt what you’re doing they lift you up.
