Chantel Beuning – Vehicle for Change

Posted by on Thursday, June 9th, 2016

Chantel Beuning knew the best way to enact change was to combine a strong desire with a solid action plan. In the social work field, she’d helped many families break unhealthy patterns by giving them the tools to implement new habits and establish goals.

In her own life, Chantel also longed for change. When she learned about Rodan + Fields®, she saw the potential to transform her life. Realizing she’d found her vehicle for change and a way to help others along the way, she started her business and never looked back.

Stuck in park

Chantel always felt called to work with others and was passionate about finding a job that allowed her to help people. She earned a degree in psychology and pursued a career in social work. Over the next few years, Chantel and her husband, PJ, grew their family. “After our second son was born, I really wanted to be home more.”

Around that time, Chantel noticed some Facebook posts about her friend’s R+F business. “My friend reached out to me, and we talked on the phone. But I was nervous about the idea of selling the products.” Over the next few months, she watched her friend’s business grow via social media. “Each time I saw her post about a milestone she’d achieved or the time freedom she was gaining, it felt a wake-up call.”

Shifting gears

In March of 2015, Chantel enrolled as an Independent Consultant. Three weeks later, her full-time job informed her that she needed to work more hours. “So I put in my two weeks’ notice, and suddenly my Plan B became my Plan A.” Chantel plugged into her business, determined to replace the income she’d given up. “It was a little scary at first because running a business was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I was surprised by how many people were interested in the products. I never felt like I had to ‘sell’ anything.”

After one month in business, Chantel was blown away by how much she’d earned. “I was working hard but only putting in five to ten hours a week. Seeing how much I earned with such part-time hours opened my eyes to the opportunity. I knew R+F could be my vehicle for change—the way to make my dreams a reality.”

Taking the wheel

Over the last year, Chantel has replaced a significant portion of her former income while working 15 to 20 hours a week around her family’s schedule. “I’m so grateful that I’m able to stay home with my boys, so I can watch them grow and be involved—never missing those special moments in their lives.”

Accelerating ahead

Prior to R+F, Chantel didn’t even use face wash. “I wasn’t into skin care, but I saw the opportunity. Now, I absolutely love the products.” Chantel started with the REVERSE Regimen for her sun damage and melasma. “It’s been so rewarding to see improvement in the appearance of my own skin as well as others’. I no longer need to wear foundation, and that’s really given me a confidence boost!”

Chantel’s business also made her more confident in her social life. “I used to be a bit of a homebody and often passed up social gatherings because I thought I was too busy, or didn’t want to push myself out of my comfort zone. But my business inspires me to talk to people and has helped me bring out the outgoing side of myself that I’ve always had in me. I’ve reconnected with friends I hadn’t seen in years, and I’m attending more events. I love that I’m now meeting new people all the time.”

Gaining Speed

Chantel appreciates that her business provides the opportunity to step into a leadership role. “I’ve always felt called to help others, and this gives me the chance to do so by empowering people to work toward their dreams. It’s so inspiring to work with supportive teammates. I’ve met incredible people from all over the country.”

Providing support to others has been especially rewarding for Chantel. “With R+F, the people I’m helping have already made that decision to step out of their comfort zone. They truly want a new direction in life, and it’s incredible to watch the results.”

The time freedom her business provides also enabled Chantel to pursue a passion she’d put on the back burner for years. “I’ve always been drawn to the idea of helping people through fitness, but up until now, I couldn’t fit it into my schedule.” A year ago, she became a certified fitness instructor and now teaches a few times a week. “Teaching gives me another way to nurture a positive self-image in others while inspiring people to live healthier, happier lives.”

Power drive

Chantel’s business empowered her to fulfill her dreams, and now she’s living a life where she can put her family first while maintaining a professional and fulfilling career. “I am so passionate about this opportunity because every day I see how it changes people’s lives. R+F was my vehicle for change, and it can be yours too. All it requires is an open mind, a willingness to step outside of your comfort zone, and the determination to follow through.”
