Linda Ray – Up for the Challenge

Linda Ray

Linda Ray had never even considered being a full-time, stay-at-home mom after twenty-one years of teaching. She loved being a teacher and the rewards that came with shaping young minds. But when a friend introduced her to the Rodan + Fields business, her thoughts shifted. She respected the Company, because having come from a family of medical professionals herself, she knew the Doctors were leaders in the skincare industry. In a recent interview, she shared her story of how she achieved rapid success with a business she began as a side hobby around a full-time job.

“I have always loved the idea of becoming an entrepreneur, so this opportunity sounded right away like it would be a rewarding personal challenge.” After achieving Level V status within five months, she set out to qualify for the Car Incentive Program. She laughs in recounting the day she found out she had actually earned a Lexus. “I remember telling my husband I had gotten the Lexus, and he looked at me in complete surprise and said, I think this might actually be a real career!” Later, she decided to become a full-time, stay-at-home mom for the first time. “I consider my full-time job to be motherhood. I love being able to just enjoy my daughters and I work my Rodan + Fields business around my family.” She shares her advice and method of reaching her level of success with candid enthusiasm.

“I have always been the person who sees every challenge as a dangling carrot, and I have to go for it. I love life, and I viewed this business as a great way to combine my passions for life and facing challenges head-on if I gave it my all.” She gave it her all by using her natural assertiveness, and she says she has always been a very sociable person, which helps a lot with this business. It involves reaching out to people, and that is something she loves to do. “I took massive action right from the beginning to get where I am today. I talked to every single person I knew, and I followed the business plan to the letter.” She attended and organized local events, and enrolled three Consultants within her first month. But in addition to being socially engaged, she is also a goal-oriented person, and that is another crucial factor in her success. “Whenever I achieved one goal, there was also one right after that. I always wanted to take it to the next level.”

Now that she has reached the level of success she is happy with, she has plans for her life that include continuing to grow her business and being more relaxed. She appreciates the freedom of not having to answer to anyone. Linda’s hope is that other people will join this business and achieve a similar level of success. “I see so many people who worry, and it creates stress and anxiety. With Rodan + Fields, this worry may be lessened because it offers the opportunity to grow something.” She doesn’t plan on ever giving up her business, since being an Independent Consultant for her is not like work at all. “I love being a part of this Company, and it’s been wonderful to have my family working it with me. We travel, we form friendships, and make connections with all kinds of people, all over the country. I love how much this business has expanded my horizons, and I truly see it as a life-long adventure.”
